My name is Shawn Lynch, and I have been photographing weddings around Boston, Massachusetts since 2002. I graduated from Boston University in 2004 with a degree in photojournalism. While at school I landed my first photography job with a local wedding photographer. When I graduated I started freelancing for different companies including Baker Studios, where I learned the art of wedding photography.
I recently moved to New York and have started making a name for myself in that market as well. It is an exciting time to be in the wedding industry. Brides and grooms are getting more savvy and educated as to what they want. Digital technology has allowed photographers to take creative risks and expand their unique vision as well as to capture photos they never would have been able to before.
My job affords me many opportunities to challenge myself on a daily basis, which I love. It is an honor and a pleasure to be chosen to photographically document the biggest day of a couple's lives together. Each wedding is unique and provides plenty of creative outlets for me to create something truly special which will help you to remember just how you felt on that truly wonderful day.
I understand that the camera is just a tool for capturing an image, but to make a real impact with a photo you need something more - vision, creativity, talent, and skill. These are some of my most valuable tools when it comes to crafting a great image. Another important factor is making my clients at ease with having their picture taken. I come into every wedding with understanding and passion. I am extremely respectful of the clients' needs. I listen to your wants, needs and concerns in order to get a better understanding of what you are looking for in a wedding photographer.
I love my job. I don't think I would want to be anything else, except maybe a rock star, but I can't sing for the life of me. I hope you appreciate my passion for making great images and would consider hiring me for any of to capture the excitement of your wedding day. Thanks!
